Overview

This project was chosen to be exhibited publicly in the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

Flowers In Motion is a generative art piece created for my Atelier I class. Inspired by Sol Lewitts wall drawing pieces. The aim of the project was to create a simple set of rules, when followed, create complex forms.

The rules for this piece are as follows:

1. Draw a number of randomly positioned points on a canvas
2. Connect these every point each to each other using bezier curves
3. Randomly pick two points to use as "bezier control points" and set every curve to these points

Bezier curves are controlled by whats known as "Control Points" which control their curve, essentially they magnetically get drawn towards them.
